Scooby Doo is the longest running animated American television series. It has been in production since 1969. The characters are a Great Dane named Scooby Doo (Don Messick), Freddie Jones (Frank Welkner), Velma Dinkley (Nicole Jaffe), Daphne Blake (Stefannia Christopherson), and Scooby’s sidekick Shaggy Rogers (Casey Kasem). The group, known as Mystery Inc., drive around the world in the Mystery Machine looking for abnormal mysteries to solve. In ad dition to the television show many straight-to-video cartoon movies have been made, as well as two feature length live action movies. |
